About the Condominium:
Capitol Park II is a condominium of 81 mid-century modern townhomes located in
the Southwest Waterfront Quadrant of Washington, DC. The homes + grounds
were designed by the Architect Chloethiel Woodard Smith and Landscape Architect
Dan Kiley. They designed the homes and landscaping around a series of private/public
courtyards that helped to create a sense of community and provide a green
oasis in the middle of the city. The houses were designed in concert as a
part of the larger masterplan for Capitol Park that included 240 other townhouses
(today Capitol Park IV Condominium), and four high-rise apartment buildings.
