The Community
Capitol Park II is a condominium of 81 mid-century modern townhomes located in the Southwest Waterfront Quadrant of Washington, DC. The homes + grounds were designed by the Architect Chloethiel Woodard Smith and Landscape Architect Dan Kiley. They designed the homes and landscaping around a series of private/public courtyards that helped to create a sense of community and provide a green oasis in the middle of the city. The houses were designed in concert as a part of the larger masterplan for Capitol Park that included 240 other townhouses (today Capitol Park IV Condominium), and four high-rise apartment buildings.
The Homes
The homes feature a variety of floor plans and vary in size between 2 and 3 bedrooms (there is also one 1-bedroom unit). Each home has it's own patio/outdoor space and some of the homes have balconies. One parking space is included with each unit, with some homes having 1-car garages. Outdoor pool access/membership is available with nearby apartment buildings in Capitol Park.
The condominium fees cover exterior maintenance and repair, landscaping, water and sewer usage, trash pickup, snow shoveling, and access to a master tv antenna.
